Mona Caron is the daughter of renouned Swiss theater and opera set designer Peter Bissegger. Mona moved to San Francisco in 1992 from her native Ticino (the Italian part of Switzerland). She speaks Italian, German, French, Swiss German, and of course English.

After studying English Literature, Linguistics and Japanese in Zurich, she got her B.F.A. degree in Illustration and graduated from the San Francisco Academy of Art College in 1996 with numerous Awards & Honors.

She currently works as a Muralist and freelance Illustrator (contact information) and teaches illustration at the San Francisco Academy of Art College.
